THOR’s Global Impact 
Cavitas’ THOR technology has been at the revolutionising heavy oil production, achieving impressive milestones in 2024: 

  • Increased oil production by 6.5x in the US. 
  • Reduced emissions by 95% compared to steam-based methods. 
  • Supported operators globally, including NOCs across the Middle East and America.

Expanding THOR’s Capabilities 

  • Doubling THOR’s Size: In Utah, a 12-module THOR system was deployed to a 400-million-barrel field where oil didn’t naturally flow.

  • Mobilised equipment to Trinidad with the potential of over 1,000 wells available.

  • Patent Milestone 
    Cavitas was granted a United States Patent for its innovative Enhanced Oil Production (EOP) system, marking a significant step in addressing heavy oil challenges.

New Appointments 

  • Welcomed Lyndsey Michie as Project Manager and Stewart McIntosh, current SPE Aberdeen Chairman, as Operations Manager.

  • Field engineers like Rachid, with over 20 years of experience in ESP installations, are strengthening our global operations. 

 

Engineering Innovation 

  • Our design lead, Ray, developed a patented centraliser tool that lands casing in extended-reach drilling wells in a single run. This track-and-roller system reduces torque, drag, and rig time.
